Farewell Col Jannie van der Walt

CPF Hartbeespoortdam – Farewell Col Jannie van der Walt
19 June 2020

Special Report:

It is with a great deal of nostalgia and regret that we take leave of Hartbeespoortdam Station Commander Col Jannie van der Walt at the end of June 2020. Col vd Walt will be leaving the services of the SAPS to go on pension after almost 39 years of loyal and unbroken service.

During his career he spent two years each at Lathlabile and Mabopane Police stations and rest were at Hartbeespoortdam where he rose through the ranks to become station commander.

A great deal of success was achieved during these years and he played a pivotal role in ensuring that Hartbeespoortdam became a safer place for its residents. His guidance and constant advice also assisted in making our CPF one of the best in South Africa.
Col Jannie will always be remembered as a man that worked strictly to the book and had a considerable knowledge of Police Law. He played a major role in addressing serious crime issues and was always available to assist and give advice when it was needed.

We salute you Col Jannie and offer our sincere gratitude for your lifetime of service excellence to our residents.

Your considerable contribution will be long remembered by all whom have had the priviledge of crossing your path.

We wish you well in the years ahead.
